"I was
continuing to work with the symphonic form, and ran into the problem of
time with this one. To get the best sound on a record in those days, you
had to be under 17 minutes. Side one of this work was 29 minutes, so if
you have one of those original records, the level is quite low.
Not good for radio, and at that point, the record Co. said no more
concept albums. 3 minute songs please, 'cause the DJs can't get out of
the cut."
